Podgorica is the capital of Montenegro and not usually the most popular destination in Montenegro. However, the city surprised me with its beautiful nature and parks and it is also a very good starting point for other day trips and excursions to discover the country of Montenegro. One of the must day trips from Podgorica is to travel to Lake Skadar and explore its unique scenery. You can read more about it a bit further down in this article!

Another positive aspect of Podgorica is the restaurant prices, lower than the prices in more popular destinations, like Kotor.
